To continue the list (sadly) of prominent people who have passed on, Pauly Fuemana, front man and half of the duo OMC aka Otara Millionaires Club died yesterday after a short illness at the age of 40 surrounded by family and friends at North Shore Hospital in Auckland.

OMC were best known for the hit single "How Bizarre"

Her new album came out in January of this year. Incredible as usual.

I've FINALLY started listening to M.I.A.'s work and now I'm hooked. I think part of the reason that I personally find her so compelling is that she's able to capture so much about being an immigrant and also a culturally hybrid person ( Read more... )
