DONNA NOBLE: THE MOST IMPORTANT WOMAN IN ALL OF TIME AND SPACE We've seen her tweets, we've seen her speeches and we've seen her texts, but here is some Donna Noble real-talk for you*:
But in all seriousness, Donna Noble is one of my favorite characters in all of time and space. Her wit, her charm, her understanding, her compassion, her loyalty, her bravery; the list is never-ending. She is acted to perfection by Catherine Tate, and in just one short season, Donna Noble captured my heart in a way so few characters do. She is real and she is tough and she is tragic and she is lovely and she was the most important woman in the world. She was proud of her humanity while she traveled with aliens; she never flinched from a challenge; she loved the running. She sought out the Doctor, she sought out the TARDIS, she was ready for the planet of the hats, and she was ready to sacrifice herself for the good of the whole world. She inspired Agatha Christie and was the best friend to the Doctor when he needed it. For the sake of her own life, she can't remember all the good she did, she can't remember the person she became. That doesn't mean she doesn't have that inside of her. She is strong and smart and brave and brash and headstrong and funny and loyal and loud and caring and compassionate and flawed and wonderful. VOTE DONNA NOBLE *This is actually not far from my literal reactions every time someone wants to talk to me about Donna Noble. (Sansa Stark is a worthy opponent, and I'm glad a ginger's moving on either way - Catherine Tate would be proud.)
Yesssss. I love that she got pretty far-- I'm not at all involved in GoT fandom but I always got the feeling that Sansa was maligned, except I feel like I'm meeting a lot of people who actually like her, so IDK what fandom actually thinks, lol.
