i was once part of a group called PEOPLE OF THE SUN (geek gaming team we had for a summer in the states). i thought i was the coolest name evah! i still do actually. in ancient greece, it was believed that ethiopia was the land of the sun and Helios, the driver of the sun chariot, settled there at the end of the day. this was the old world explaination for the color of peoples skin. i find i have developed this strange taste for arabic things... that have nothing to do with ethiopia or it's sun people.

my brother calls it a dementia nap. i usually take them a half hour after we have our afternoon coffee on the weekends. your brain is in nap mode, but your body is juiced on caffeine that will have you running seven ways from sunday. the buzz prevents you from actually slipping into an REM slash alpha wave type sleep- leaving you on the shallow end of the world of waking. it just goes to prove that coffee is just another legal addictive stimulant slash approved drug that you can trip on. your heart rate is up, but your breathing is down and steady- do you know what a state like that can do to your brain? i do.
