LMFAO
They had all seen him, sitting in bed at the wee hours of the morning. Usually, he would be scrawling lyrics hastily onto pieces of scrap paper. Today however, he sat awake with half-lidded eyes, and a blank expression. The others were starting to get worried.
“Is Jiyong alright...?” whispered Daesung, peeking through the slightly ajar door. Youngbae, who stood beside him, sighed and shrugged. “I've known him since we were twelve years old...he just gets like this sometimes. It's best to just leave him alone for awhile.” Most of the other members had their own individual activities to attend to, so that was exactly what was going to happen.
Hours later, Jiyong finally found the strength to get out of bed and get something to eat. As he passed by the bathroom, he looked at himself in the mirror. He had dark bags under his reddish-brown eyes, and his hair was disheveled. He hadn't rested well in weeks; there was no time for it. His band was coming out with an album the following month, and it placed many responsibilities on his shoulders.
Jiyong wiped at his eyes groggily. He knew it wouldn't get any better when their album was released. The responsibilities would pile up further. It was nothing he could help; he felt it was his obligation to always try his best and never back down. Sighing softly, he made his way to the kitchen. He stopped walking as he saw a figure seated at the table. Jiyong recognized the individual as Seunghyun, the member who was usually busiest. (Other than himself.)
“Someone's tired, huh?” said Seunghyun, jokingly. “...You think?” Jiyong sat beside him, with a glass of milk in hand. “You're looking rough these days...we're worried about you.” He flashed the younger man a soft smile. “Heh...well, it's nothing I can help. You gotta do what you gotta do, man.” Jiyong replied. Seunghyun took a bite of his toast, looking thoughtful. “Well, I can help it. I called the boss and told him to give you the day off so you can catch up on your sleep.”
Jiyong's eyes widened, and he nearly spat out the milk he was drinking.
“You did what?! I can't afford to miss even one day, you know that!”
“Sure you can. I have some song ideas. Let me take over for a day.”
“But Seun-”
“No 'but's. You're overworking.”
Jiyong opened his mouth to say something, but found he couldn’t argue.
Seunghyun dragged Jiyong's tired body from his chair and pushed him towards the direction of his bedroom.
“Go, sleep.” he insisted as they reached the door.
Jiyong just let out a long sigh, giving in.
He made his way inside, closing the the door behind him.
Minutes later, the door opened slightly, and he peeked out his head.
“...Hey...Seunghyun..?”
“What is it?”
“...Thanks, man.” Jiyong grinned for the first time in days, his tired eyes becoming crescent-shaped.
Seunghyun, who was back at his seat at the table, just laughed and shook his head.
“You're an idiot. A poor, selfless, idiot.”
