Poker
Tonight was interesting. I went to Vesna's cousin's place with her and watched them play poker. (I would've played, but I didn't know entirely how to play.) I got it about half way through the game. For a while, Vesna was doing really good - she was in the lead. At the end, poor Vesna bet everything on a good hand of 3 Kings and lost to a Flush. Poor girl! I was hoping we'd be millionaires. Guess I'll wait another day for that.
I'm excited that halloween is finally here. I really want to go do something "Halloweeny". I was looking at the website for Halloweekends at Cedar Point again - and am very excited for that! There are two haunted houses around my apartment that opened yesterday; they also look like fun. If you're interested, here's the links:

Also, I got my first schedule at Mesaba. It turned out awesome. I have four four-day trips (so working 16 days next month) - all on my favorite plane, the Avro RJ-85. I'm going to try and drop a trip so that I only work for 16 days. I got 4 Saturdays off and even Halloween! I have NO clue how I scored such a good schedule. My first two trips have long layovers in Atlanta and Philadelphia! Never been to Philly, so I'll get a chance to check that out.
In geek news (skip to next paragraph if you're not interested) - there has been a lot of news about the new Treo phone (700W on Verizon Wireless) that is coming out. Even though Palm makes it, it's running Windows Mobile! (That's like a Macintosh coming out with Windows on it.) I am still shocked that Palm didn't decide on using Palm OS - but when I really think about it, I'm glad - because Palm OS fucking sucks.
For you eMule or BitTorrent users, Peer Guardian has been redone. (Peer Guardian is a program that blocks list of known Government, RIAA, and other types of security, from monitoring your downloads or your shared files.) For those of you interested, you can get it here: Peer Guardian 2
Last news, my foot feels a million times better. I had no problems walking yesterday, so I am ready to return to the skies :)
