Cosmetic Craze

Alright. I promised myself i won't do this but i'm currently too bored.

So here it is, the official first post of my new, and ever increasing collection of makeup. =))

my little (and very messy) collection.

P.S. this is going to be a little messy as i'm still trying to get use to using LJ.

Here it is. The full (well, before starflash) collection of m makeups. =D Ranging from Mac, Bobbi Brown, Simply Naturals and some other random brands that just happen to come along.

Believe it or not, 95% of the above are less than half a year old. I use to own only the basics (meaning foundation, loose powder, and blush) but on my birthday this year, jepenga* bought me my very first set of brushes and my first Mac eyeshadow and pigment, and lets just say, the rest is history.

Ah. my Simply Naturals that val spree-ed for me.  Honestly, although i love the color and all, i haven used a single one of them. The colors (not to mention the price of USD$1.60 each!) just make me want to get them all.

And my favourite set. Mac Eyesadow. most of these are from the Starflash collection (will talk about more in the next post) but the ones places vertically are from the Electro Flash collection.

(top: Love Connection, Two to Glow, Odd Couple,
Bottom: Sea & Sky, Fresh Green Mix)

Sea & Sky goes well with Cool Heat's Climate Blue and Blue Flame...  Or if you're too lazy, it actually looks good by it self just using another color (maybe Cool Heat's Solar White or Naked Pigment) as high light. same goes for Fresh Green Mix. I LOVE that color. Love Connection is more of a highlight to me, it's really glittery and light... too light for me to use as a color by itself though. Tocks have tried Odd Couple and the color is beautiful. Have not tried Two To Glow... can't really remember why i got it since I'm not a orange person. But it can be used as a hightlight too i suppose. Not very excited about it.

You may have noticed the box is actually the one i used to keep my Simply Naturals in but my smaller boxes are too, small, to keep all my Mac Eyeshadow so i swap the places. This box is actually quite good to keep Mac Eyeshadows in if you keep then in the boxes too. (For some reason i hate to keep it with out the boxes. Troublesome when i use them, but i rather them in boxes and not roll around without it. in my sotrage box).

Middle: Mac Circa Plum,Mac Violet, Mac Pink Pearl, Mac Fuchsia, Mac Cornflower,
bottom: Mac Pro Deep Blue Green, Mac Mutiny, Mac Golden Lemon, Mac Pro Chartreuse, Mac Pro Kelly Green)

Val (my makeup advisor) taught me (and tocks) how to press the pigments. I HATE using pigments. I can never ever use it property without it pouring all over the place or worse, dropping the open jar on the floor. So, thank god i can press Mac Pigments easily and tah da! 15 pretty pans of Mac (and Mac Pro) pigments.

However, for some strange reason, Electric Coral turn HARD after i pressed it. =/ I pressed it the same way as i did for the rest but it just went HARD. It did not even break when i drop it, hit it or poke it. I tried pressing another one hoping it's a freak accident but the same results turn up. I asked the Mac Make up artist and he was like 0.o . I've wasted at least 1/3 jar of the Electric Coral. Ouch.

So here it is. My very first post on my make up collection. Bear with me, i'm still trying to get use to 'blogging' again after stopping for AGES. And i really need to figure out the template of LJ so i can use my own design again. =/ Help tocks? val?
