update!

Jan 29, 2009 18:03

I haven been buying much MAC these few weeks as i'm still trying to increase my HK fund, (it's coming out in 1st week of March (4th if i'm not wrong) at vivo city exclusive and March 14 for other counters). But i did buy some random stuff here and there so here it is. =))

Anna Sui Sale!

There was a small Anna Sui Sale at Robinson Raffles Place before CNY and these goodies are going at less than 20 each!

Dolly Girl Lipstick in 01 $18.50

It's really pink though, i only bought it for the print on the lipstick itself.

Super  Mascara Glitter in 001 (white) and 800 (gold) for $17.50 each

As per normal for Anna Sui stuff, it has the rose scent and it actually goes on perfectly well on black mascara. The glitter is obvious and can been seen from across the table. =)) So make sure that your black mascara is dry before putting this on though.

Eye Color Accent in J02 $17.50

I was really dissapointed in this, i bought it without playing with the tester as it wa the LAST piece and when i got home and actually tried it, the color payoff was really bad and barely visible. =/

MAC Chill Collection

So so it's back to MAC. I've been waitin for this collection for AGES. But i was quite dissapointed with the other 2 colors, but these 3 rocks =))

MAC Chill Eyeshadow in Vellum, Atic Grey and Wintersky

Vellum looks white inthe pot, but when you swatch it, it actually gives a real pretty bright purple glow. Artic Grey is Lustre finish so it's really glittery and pigmented. Wintersky is so far my favourite. It is a very neutral looking pink that goes well with the everyday look. It kinds of remind me of Swish but this is more pinkish.

Tiffa Mascara Base and Majolica

I got my sister to get these for me from Japan though it's only 1 - 2 dollors cheaper than here as Yen is really expensive now.

The little silver Eyeshadow (SV830) is actually much more pigmented than MAC Artic Grey. It's literally packed with giltter! The Blush (RD255) is similar to NARS Orgasm but is more orange than pink and is actually really neutral. It's quite difficultto store these 2 actually as it's just a 2 piece tray of a pan with a handle slotted into a casing. But they do sell really pretty boxs that allow customisation of colors. Not really worth it unless youare planning to bring it around.

Swatches for Tiffa MAscara Base and Majolica Lash Gorgeous Wing Mascara

The Tiffa (Kanebo) mascara base really works. It has fibers in it that make your lashes look longer and it actually dries transparet so you don't have to worry about the base color showing.

The Majolica one doesn't really work well on it's own. It does contain fibers too so your lashes are abit longer and it does give a feathery look too your lashes but it doesn't volumise. I normally use it together with Tiffa Mascara base to make my lashes look thicker. This has a brush applicator so it's really easy to us and doesn't clump as much as the Majolica "Lashes My Lashes Extended Elegantly" (also called Neo if im not wrong) that has a comb.

However, Majolica's Mascaras are a horor to remove. MAC wipes DO NOT remove them and so i have to use a oil base remover to remove them.

I saw the Remover Pot at Watsons and i decided to give it a try. Cotton and removers are pissing me off.

Para Do Remover Pot $9.90

I wasn't quite sure about it first but this thing actually works!

Pros: no mess and removes with ease, easy storage and does not leave your nails feeling dry
Cons: It works but plaing your finger on the inner cylinder and turn the bottle but after your finger gets wet from the remover, i becomes dificult to turn it wit out your finger slipping all over the place. It leaves your fingers bit oily.

There's some of the nail art design i did for the past weeks =))

Socks! - OPI Brand New Skates (Silver), Sally Hansen French Mancure Natural White) and OPI Russian Navy (blue tips)

Slytherin - OPI Brand New Skates (Silver), Sally Hansen French Mancure Natural White) and Majolica GR319(green tips)

French Manicure - OPI Passion (pink) and Orly French Manicure White

TIP! if you only wish to have simple add ons for your nails, buy the stickers that are sold at the Nail wagons they have in the shopping malls. One sheet of about 50 stickers will only cost you about $9.90 - $19.90(prince depends on quality, type and texture) and you can use the sheet for at least 4 different designs instead of paying $3 a nail at the salons!

Pedicure - OPI Don't Toy with me! (red shimmer base) and O2 Skin MC3343 (glitter overlay)

Please excuse my ugly toes =D

The Stickers i got are used for my toes too! the sheet i bought consist of both the one with the stone and those without. The sheet has an avg of 25 of each design so it's really worth it. =))

That's all for now, sorry for the lack of swatches...

Happy Chinese New Year!! =))
