Pork Loin Chops with Sour Cream Sauce

Apr 03, 2007 20:44

I found this on the web, at Recipezaar. Looks weird, tastes great!

I would cook for less than an hour; they were a bit overdone. The sauce was really good.

2 1 inch thick pork loin chops, about 1 1/2 lbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons horseradish
2 tablespoons grainy mustard or Dijon mustard
6 tablespoons ranch dressing
6 tablespoons dry red wine or white wine

1. Brown chops in oil in a frying pan.
2. Remove to casserole dish.
3. Saute onion and garlic over high heat for 2 minutes.
4. Add sour cream, horseradish, mustard, dressing and wine.
5. Heat for 3 minutes.
6. Pour over chops.
7. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 1 hour or until done.

EDIT: I browned a pork roast and then roasted it in this sauce. It was great, better than the pork chops. Highly recommended.
