Over a year later since breaking my foot I'm still having issues and it sucks. Partly I think its because of how much walking I've been doing with my two jobs. I'm pretty much on my feet from 9am to 12a walking around (you never realize how big a hospital is till you have to spend two days walking around one just to visit all of the areas). I know when my doctor was explaining to me everything she specifically said given where I broke the bone (right at the base), it will be difficult to heal and take years to fully heal unlike my collar bone.Honestly, its more frustrating then when I tore my rotator cuff!
I've been trying to lose some weight this summer, having gained about 15lbs last summer and so far I have managed to lose about 10 but I would love to lose another 10, but its frustrating being unable to run or go biking as my foot hurts. I'm icing it twice a day now, when I go to bed and usually in the afternoon at some point. I hope to get back into skating this winter as a way to get more fit as well as for the pure reason I love skating, but its so frustrating not being able to do what you want to because you are in pain.
If I wasn't so busy I would book an appointment to see my doctor but that won't be until early September, and I won't have this second job, which may help.
Ugh, I hate it.
Never break your foot, it really sucks.
I should sleep...
