I am cranky today
phrases that annoy me:
- "slippery slope" and more specifically, how often it is used in otherwise intelligent conversation. There are many other ways to articulate the same concept that don't sound so ridiculous.
- the concept of "wearing different hats" when you have a variety of roles to play. This may stem from a childhood phrase I hated as a kid: "put on your thinking caps." As though I only think when you tell me to. It may also stem from the fact that I hate hats unless its cold out.
- basically all the bullshit about how shitty Mondays are. Everyone hates Mondays. We all have for most of our lives. We know. You don't have tell us. (this is specific to facebook)
