I'm in Paris!
You're probably wondering...what the hell are you doing online when you're in Paris!!! I wanted to see if I could get tickets to a show this weekend - the online route didn't work out for me, but I'm hoping I will have success at the theatre. Cross your fingers for me.
I went to the hotel where we stayed last time we were in Paris hoping they'd have a room. They had one - for 42 euros! Um, too much. I told them that was too much and that I'd have to look somewhere else, and the general manager told me he'd give it to me for 35 euros. Ok, so it's still 10 euros more than the 25 euro room I wanted (without a shower) but I wasn't really that keen on not having a shower anyway and there was no way I was going to find it for cheaper. Plus, it seems that for some reason, there are alot of people in Paris...I know that the Tour de France is going on, but I don't know how close to here it is. But anyway, I was afraid of not finding a room, so I just took it.
1 roundtrip train ticket from Tours: 39 euros
2 nights in Paris hotel: 70 euros
3 movies, 2 museums and 1 Theatre show: 50 euros
Not staying in Tours all weekend: priceless
