I kicked the shit out of my film theory seminar, AGAIN. but this time was awesome coz I actually made the tutor (not our groups usual, shame) remember a better example than the one he chose (badlands and malick in general, also deux ou trois choses que je sais d'elle). we then had a discussion after how malick basically turns people into abstract ideas, and deconstructs stuff in general. and how he has a very patriarchal in his characters. he then said he wished I'd have reminded him of those flicks earlier so he coulda used those examples.
in short. I'm awesome. so is the tutor dude. and malick is god.
