re: crisis core play last night + quick FFVII thoughts & A QUESTION!

I'm actually in the middle of doing a lot of things, but I had to post this here!

QUAKE IS THE BEST MAGIC EVER. Er, Materia. I don't know about other games, other FF - I didn't use it much. However, in Zack's playthrough in Crisis Core? Real-time battles where you don't want to get too close to the enemy?

QUAKE.
QUAKE.
QUAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE.

Crisis Core thoughts & question )

REEVE. That's right! He was a humanitarian type that they showed talking to Pres. Shinra in the beginning. I remember him! Wow. I'm insanely disappointed. He seemed like a nice guy and all, but I was really hoping it was Tseng, since most of the time when they show the Turks, he's not with. The Turks are quite different, aren't they? Each has a vastly different personality...

For instance, Reno seems as though he was made to be a Turk, but I still can't tell if he's a jerk or just a sarcastic type of personality. I totes had a crush on him as a kid, but I still don't know what to make of him. Does he like any of the ladies in Cloud's party? I remember I thought it was squee cute that Rude is into Tifa - makes sense, as they both have similar fighting styles.

I adore that Tseng "has a thing for that Ancient" as Reno put it, ahaha. I think more so it's just him watching out for her because he had a previous relationship with Zack, but...I kind of thought it was a good shipping idea. Zack/Aerith...Zack dies, so Tseng steps up.../paints a picture of romance in my head, I can't help it.

Elena isn't bad - she doesn't really seem to have a Turk mentality though, like Tseng, she seems...different. I realize they couldn't put her in CC now because she mentions being a "new recruit" when you first see her in VII. Still, that leaves me to wonder what the hell happened to Cissnei from Crisis Core, because oh man, I adored her to bits.

CID. I LOVE CID. I had completely forgotten how amazing Cid is/was. His space fascination, his GOD $%^#$% TEA, etc. So, I had a lot of fun naming him Rush, because when we were in the space-ship and he was all "BASICALLY THE GOVERNMENT WANTED TO TAKE AWAY THIS ROCKET FROM ME" I was like "Omg, they kind of tried to do that to Rush repeatedly with the Icarus project!" so I've had fangirl fun with naming him that. I'm so so glad he got to go into space, though. Cid is fucking awesome.

Schnook? It actually does sound like it could be something related to him. o__O Schnook Highwind!

There's a...snowboarding game? /confused
There's so much about the VII fandom that has been created that I'm completely "d'oh" on - such as Dirge of Cerb. I don't know much about it besides the fact that it's a shooter and people bitch about it. I watched one of those "comedy" videos that you sent me before about VII - one was about DoC, and I know that the party seemed to be...Vincent/Barret/Cid...yeah? Otherwise...yeah, I don't know much.

PS: ohai reeve lookin' all fine, damn. o__O

For some reason, I just thought of the Turks like a miniature company. They all have separate employees, and a boss, and then an "owner", who would be Rufus, I guess. They do all sort of dirty work and hardly care. Although Tseng seems to have a backbone.

Reeve'ss cool. He's like the only person from ShinRa who actually gives a damn. He uses the toy Cait Sith to help the world, but his alliance is still with ShinRa so he just plays double agent.

Ah. Cissnei. They kind of hint at something, at least I hope, in On the Way to a Smile, about how the main character of Before Crisis is leading a normal life even though still giving ShinRa info. So because you can pick Cissnei from the main fighter people, I assume she's included in that.

Cid is like...totally a great fighter, too. Jumping and being all dragoon-y...Schnook Highwind. Never thought of it like that. Haha.

Oh, by snowboarding game, I mean within the FF7 game! It's in the Gold Saucer. You can play for the Saucer points or whatever they're called. And don't worry, I don't know much about Dirge of Cerberus either. /facepalm. I didn't play it because it was a shooter, so I just watched Loz play it. It's too full of drama and convoluted plot.
