Um, all I can say is HOLY SHIT.
I just saw my grade for the hellish term paper I wrote on the British Neolithic last week....100/100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable.
I definitely don't think I deserved that grade - like, no way in hell - I think it's probably because the other undergrads in the class were like, the WORST STUENTS EVER. I'm thinking she must have read my paper right after reading a really bad one, or something, but MY GOD. WOW.
So now I have to do the take-home exam for that class that's due tomorrow, and study for another exam in Biology, but seriously, I am on cloud 9. A perfect score?!?! OMFG! I can't believe it!
Also, I sent in my term paper for another class this morning. Last week, as I was feverishly trying to finish that British Neolithic paper, I stayed up too late working on it, and missed the last class for this other class, and missed a quiz (each of which are worth 12.5% of our grade) AND didn't hand in a revision for the term paper (worth 5%), and when I called the prof this morning to see if I could just e-mail the paper to him instead of bringing it in (because I have a terrible flu or something), he said that I could re-take the quiz! YAY! It's really amazing how nice profs can be when you are a good student. Like, in the past week, two examples of special treatment for me:
1.) I wasn't finished my British Neolithic paper, I e-mail my teacher and told her I made some kind of mistake in my analysis, and told her that I knew that 10% of the grade would be knocked off, but that I would need a couple more hours to work on it. She said that "it's a clerical error, not procrastination" so she wouldn't take any points off! THEN, even though a "couple of hours" turned into TWO FUCKING DAYS FROM HELL, i.e. I turned it in two days late, she STILL gave me 100 pts! WHOA!
2.) After missing that quiz, even though the syllabus says that quizzes CANNOT be made up without a doctor's note, when I called the prof, he was like, "You should come in today - you know you missed the quiz and the revision, right?" and I was like, "Yeah, I'm sorry. I had a term paper emergency, and just overslept. I didn't want to try to make any excuses for it, it was just an accident, I'm sorry" and he was just like, "I have no problem with you making it up. Come in on Monday sometime, and you can do it then." WOW.
Life rules.
