[Yeah, Mozart has a feeling he's been sleeping a little too long. Which is bad. Very bad. He's trying to sound light and cheerful, though he feels like his guts are twisting inside. Too much wasted time when he should have been working on his requiem.]

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It did happen to Salieri. Yet I am a very busy man, you see? It was a little unfair! [He offers him a laugh, but really, he's not in the mood to laugh.]

Unfair though it might be, it does happen to most people here. I've fallen victim to them several times myself.

Several times? So it is not that uncommon either, is it? Did yours last as long as mine?

No, it's hardly uncommon. Mine lasted for a few weeks at a time at the most. Not quite as long as yours, but many others have had some as long as yours.

No rhyme or reason, I see. Hopefully it'll leave me alone then.

And tell me, the opera house? How is that going? I must have missed so much.

With any luck it will. And the opera house is near finished. The date for opening night had been postponed, but now that you've awakened, it can open as soon as you're ready.

Oh, that is terrific! I was worried that I had possibly missed it opening.

No, certainly not. It would not feel right opening it while you were otherwise occupied. After all, you should conduct your own works, yes?

Exactly! I completely agree and thank you. I promise I will be ready soon for the opening.

Now surely you will require breakfast or some sort of meal, will you not? [and you will need a shower, too, Mozart. You probably smell. No offense.]

Ah, no. I need to wash myself and get straight to working. I will probably be down a little later to eat.

[he will just have to make Mozart eat, then.]

Are you truly in the proper state to begin working? You just woke up from a month-long sleep.

Ah, yes. It's perfect. My mind is whirling with many ideas right now! [Or there's none and only panic.]

Then surely you can eat while you write these ideas down. What would you like?
