[Yeah, Mozart has a feeling he's been sleeping a little too long. Which is bad. Very bad. He's trying to sound light and cheerful, though he feels like his guts are twisting inside. Too much wasted time when he should have been working on his requiem.]

Ah, I asked for a nap and it would seem I got, well, a nap and twice more! Or the day that is ( Read more... )

The date isn't wrong. That sleep of yours was no nap!

[But...he's happy to see his original isn't dead. Maybe.]

[Oh hey, clone. No, not dead just yet.]

So then I was asleep for almost a month? Salieri had been that way as well, but really, this was really bad timing for it!

An entire month! What ever did you do that put you in such deep slumber?

[Barely sleeping.] Nothing! I have been very responsible with my health, I'll have you know. I can't think of a single reason as to why I would sleep so long.

Ah... no, the date is quite correct. You've simply been asleep for quite some time. [BUT HE IS RELIEVED OKAY]

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It did happen to Salieri. Yet I am a very busy man, you see? It was a little unfair! [He offers him a laugh, but really, he's not in the mood to laugh.]

Unfair though it might be, it does happen to most people here. I've fallen victim to them several times myself.

Several times? So it is not that uncommon either, is it? Did yours last as long as mine?

Maestro, I'm afraid the date is not wrong and you have not been merely napping.

So I have heard. It really was a horrible time for a nap. [He knows it wasn't a nap, but he's trying to make a laugh out of this instead of getting upset.]

[He doesn't wish to dwell on the fact since he knows Mozart is probably not feeling all that well.] Maestro, would you like me to bring you something to eat or drink? Or perhaps we could have tea and cakes at one of the local cafes?

No, no. Thank you, that is very nice. I just have a lot to catch up on. I will eat later. [Or never.]

They're troublesome things, aren't they?

I'll hope you do not go into one! But your family does? Ah, that must be troublesome.

The date isn't wrong. It just seems you're the latest victim of the random narcolepsy which often occurs in this place.

It would appear so. It's just very rude that I was chosen. I am a very busy man.

I doubt they have any particular preference in choosing people for it. It seems completely random and whimsical.

Perhaps they just find it funny.
