Damage Control
Heroes | Sylar/Mohinder, Maya
PG13 | 501 words
Authors Notes: This is pure crack. I have no idea what tense this is written in... it sounds awkward to me, so I'm going to say 2nd... because it sounds like it would be in second person. Written for
stellarmoneca because she wanted slashy fic that pretty much dissed Maya and went for the hottie that is know only as Sylar. Yeah, so enjoy the not-written-wellness... because I wrote it in 5 minutes

He was sure that it had nothing to do with his phD in genetics or the fact that he was totally smart, but for some reason Maya just wasn’t cutting it. He had been through a relationship before. Eden was perfect, she showed up when she wanted to; he’d almost killed her with a gun, and most of the time she brought food; which any typical guy would have loved. But something happened…
Oh yeah, she tried to kill Sylar… and ended up with her brain splattered across a glass window… and his face.
But that was a while ago. Maya was different. She wasn’t all that familiar with the English language… hell, neither was he… but that wasn’t it. He’d tried to reason with her… he even gave her the book He’s just not that into you as a clue. But she had just stared at it blankly. It was hard to break up with any emotional girl… but she was super emotional. If she started to cry, you best be certain that you have a 99.9% chance of dying from bled out eyeballs. But somehow he had managed to calm her down, the only time she ever started to cry or looked like she was going to cry was whenever Sylar came up in a conversation.
Oh… Sylar. He was a glorious man. Tall, dark, handsome… mysterious. Not to mention a total psycho. But he always sort of liked the damaged. Eden and Maya were both damaged… even his adopted daughter Molly was. Maybe it was the fact that he needed to do a little damage control that he decided to pick up the phone that day.
Maya had been in the kitchen cooking some Mexican dish he couldn’t pronounce and when he had snuck into the bedroom and heard the line connect, the first genuine smile crossed his face that had been lacking for months.
Yeah… so he totally asked him to come over. It was a little hard to concentrate with that silky voice floating through the speaker… it even sounded more glorious then that in real life but he was only kidding himself. Another half an hour of mumbled rants of powers and Alejandro droned on before a light knock reached both their ears. His, a little more tuned to it.
He had probably zoomed to the door a little too fast to be normal and when he opened the door he had to catch his breath. Sylar stood there in a dark gray peacoat, paired with black jeans. His hair was even more beautiful that he had imagined and part of him longed to touch it until his concentration drifted and he ended up tackling him in the hallway and smashing his mouth to his.
He heard Maya gasp but he didn’t really care. So what if she found out this way. At least Sylar was able to shut her up if she did indeed protest.
Maybe it wasn’t so bad that he got his powers back.
