I'm currently trying to work out what to buy my mum for her 60th birthday. The original plan was for my and my sister to take her away for a sort of "girl's day" at a spa but her friends have now decided they might do something similar, leaving us back at square one. In desperation, I ran a google search for "60th birthday ideas". This, in turn, led me to:
