It would seem that Truth... Phoenix is determined to prove the worth of his name here by the act of discarding it. I have no idea if doing so is a risk to him, but if so it is not a risk I will allow him to make alone.

My name is Edgeworth... Miles Edgeworth.

You may call me Edgeworth. And should anything happen to me in the light of this entry... if ( Read more... )

My, my, I've been reduced to naught but calling you by your surname when you're free to refer to my first?

My heart is broken, sir, simply shattered! Here I thought we were friends.

I call you by the name you used when you introduced yourself. I merely ask the same courtesy in return.

Hmmm. I do admit 'Lezard' is slightly easier than 'Valeth' left and right. My best works, they tend to refer to me as 'Master Valeth', which has a nice ring to it. Wouldn't you agree?

Either way, if you err on the side of caution and can defend yourself to an extent, knowing your name shouldn't be detrimental to your health. I've had mine for [A pause. Trying to remember how long it's been? No sir!] ... quite a while.

If yo wish me to amend the manner in which I address you, that is your prerogative. On my part, however, any use of the term "master" would be used in the sense of an immature and unmarried male.

Unlike yourself, Lezard, I do not possess any extraordinary talents in terms of physical or... otherwise skills - and nor does Truth.

Ah-hah, but you are my dear employee. I've no objection to keeping my eye on you.
