Anyway! Back on topic! Yes, heat is the devil. I can't even imagine living in Virginia. I think the Pacific Northwest is the closest equivalent to the UK and Ireland weatherwise - when I visited Seattle it had a very similar feel to Dublin, in terms of atmosphere, even though the cities are very different. But THIS summer, oh my god. I live in Tennessee, right, so I'm used to hot summers. But this summer is the hottest in 17 years in my area, the humidity is far worse than usual, and every time I step outside I want to die because you can literally FEEL the humidity against your skin, which I've found is impossible to describe to people who have only experienced dry heat but OH MY GOD IS TERRIBLE. I mean, right now outside it is 96 degrees with 50% humidity. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MISERABLE THAT IS, AND THE WORST PART IS THAT IT'S ACTUALLY COOLED OFF SINCE YESTERDAY.
Um, I have a lot of thoughts and feelings on the weather right now.
