Broken, this fragile thing now
And I can't, I can't pick up the pieces.
And I've thrown my words all around,
But I can't, I can't give you a reason.
I feel so broken up (so broken up),
And I give up (I give up),
I just want to tell you so you know..
Here I go,
Scream my lungs out and try to get to you,
You are my only one.
I let go,
There's just no one that gets me like you do
You are my only,
My only one.
Made my mistakes, let you down
And I can't, I can't hold on for too long.
Ran my whole life in the ground
And I can't, I can't get up when your gone.
And something's breaking up (breaking up),
I feel like giving up (like giving up),
I won't walk out until you know..
Here I go
Scream my lungs out and try to get to you,
You are my only one.
I let go
There's just no one that gets me like you do
You are my only,
My only one.
Here I go,
So dishonestly.
Leave a note
For you my only one.
And I know,
You can see right through me.
So let me go
And you will find someone.
Here I go,
Scream my lungs out and try to get to you,
You are my only one.
I let go,
There's just no one, no one like you
You are my only,
My only one.
My only one
My only one
My only one
You are my only,
My only one.

YC's lyrics are so incredibly simple. but they are catchy as hell. I remember the first time i saw the video for 'ocean avenue' i loved it. instantly. it was fun, upbeat, fast, easy to listen to, and ryan (whatever his last name is i forget) was adorable. so i bought the cd. i listened to ocean ave that entire summer. constantly. it was a loud and on repeat and driving with the windows down screaming my lungs out kind of summer. i recently went looking for it again. i remembered their 'one year six months ago' song and i wanted to play it for paul because it was our .. well one year six month anniversary. and even though the song is kind of sad and depressing i still thought it was a cute touch. so i downloaded it. and fell in love with the album all over again. the first 4 tracks are perfect. the violin is such an interesting instrument to have in a pop punk band. i love listening to it cascading into the notes of the other instruments.
there are a few tracks i still skip and don't listen to. but more then half of the album is so amazing it more then makes up for 'life of a salesman'
great cd. makes me giddy and happy and jumpy to listen to it. even after all this time.
