Warnings: Shouldn't have anything too bad
Summary: The train comes to a brief stop near an open field where the passengers are encouraged to get off to watch the fireworks in the night sky.

And a vacation wasn't all that bad, now that he thought about it. He'd just thought he'd have been with Penny by the end of the year. Well...That was what resolutions were for, weren't they? He shut his eyes and thought.

She blinked as she found Dr. Horrible, dressed casually, at her feet. She tilted her head slightly. "Oh! Hello Doctor... How are you?"

"Oh..you know." He answered vaguely. "Enjoying the show?" His head glanced up at the fireworks, opening both eyes now to look up as a particularly bright and loud firework went off.

"Ah..." She gave an awkward laugh. Not particularly. They're pretty, but the sound is bothering me a bit."

"Hold on." He reached into his back pocket of his jeans and took out his smaller first-aid kit, something he'd started carrying around due to his recent string of conflicts. Opening the box, he took out two cotton balls, and handed them up to Tsuuma, closing the case with a snap.
"Put those in your ears." he instructed, replacing the case.

"I made a necklace, for Ema. She liked it."

"Ah! That's good. I haven't seen her, so I haven't been able to give her what I bought for her."

Curiously, Dr. Horrible looked towards Tsuuma. "Yeah? What'd you get her?"

"A few new notebooks. With how much she writes things down I figured having a few extra would be handy to have around."

He nodded his approval, and laid back down in the grass. "She'll like that, I know it."

Tsuuma gave a nod, "I thought she would. They're rather cute so I thought she'd like them."

"Cute?" he asked, confused. "Oh...right. Yeah, girls tend to like cute things. I think."

"Ema's a very excitable girl. I'm sure she'll be good at what she does when she's older."
