I applied for the train program a couple nights ago because it actually runs from August 1 - December 31 instead of your regular semester. So I may be leaving Prince George for good soon, and got rather sad because I'll miss this place. What I will miss most is the Train museum they have here, which is my favourite museum I've ever been to. Whenever I got super stressed out and needed to relax I would just go to the museum and putter around, but I never brought a camera with me. So today I went there with a camera to take some pictures to remember it by. What I love most about this museum is you can go where ever you want. Some of the areas they have roped off because they are working on them, but you can climb into most of the driver seats, walk through the stations, push buttons, and instead of looking at it all from a distance from a roped off area you can interact with the trains. Anyways, if you are ever in Prince George I can't recommend it enough, plus it is only 6 bucks for an adult to get in.

Disclaimer: I only took pictures of a few trains, but there is tons more to see at the museum then what is here. Including a firehall exhibit, logging equipment, and a working switchboard.
As always click to enlarge any photo

This bridge wasn't part of the museum, but my dad always wanted a picture of it so I took these for him.

BCOL 6001 Electric Locomotive - I got to sit in the driver's seat on this one and feel special.

I forget which train this one was in, but I think it was the Takla which was in service from 1928-1992.

This was my favourite train at the museum and they did that to it. It was a 1906 Steam Locomotive 1520.

I was going to look this one up in the self guide when I got home but I can't find it, anyone know what it is?

You don't actually need to go to the museum to see these, they are all over this area but were banned from use in 1997.

I don't know what this was either, but five steering wheels???

"A little less pot...adds a little more thought" I think it is good they have a anti-drug message on this, because this was a crane and I would never want somebody high operating a crane.

I love this door

I felt like I was in a 50's diner as I walked down this hall.

Another door I liked but this was part of the snowplow I'll show you later.

I have never watched Dr. Who, but for some reason that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this.

1914 train station, yay!

I wanted to go in this one so bad.

I was so close to highjacking this thing...

but I decided I'll wait to see if I get into this program first. If I don't, I'll be a conductor yet!

And my snowplow! I love the snowplows they have there, two of which you can go inside.

And I finish this entry with the sexy beast. The other snowplow used to be sexier, but they painted a face on it. It was a PGE 6001 Plow built in 1902, I'm not sure what this one was.
