Ordering from Amazon Japan

Awhile ago in response to another post I made here someone mentioned that Amazon Japan accepts COD (cash on delivery) and so this time around when I decided it was time to invest in a new bed so I won't have to air out my futon all the time while worrying about moldy bedding it was one of the first place I checked. Happily, I found a bed frame and mattress that I like but now I've run into another problem I'm hoping someone who's made use of Amazon Japan can help me with.
Due to my work I'm not home most of the time, particularly in the afternoons of weekdays, so I'm wondering is there a way I can ensure my items are delivered to my house on a specific date? I can be home Sundays and Mondays, and so those are the two days when I'd prefer for them to make the delivery. Since my Japanese is very limited and the items I want are quite large and heavy I don't really want to do the "they leave me a message in my mailbox and I go pick it up at the post office" thing (which I don't even know if they do that here, but that's how they did it in Canada if you weren't home to receive a delivery).
If anyone has any advice or can offer any solution to my little dilemma I'd be very grateful.
