I had just recently come across this community and lurked for a little bit but I thought maybe to introduce myself before asking my question.

 
I was reading Fraud by David Rackoff and he had a chapter about these Austrian science teachers who took jobs teaching in the NYC public school system. Apparently there's a lot of unemployed Austrian science teachers and a lot of unfilled jobs for science teachers in the NYC public school system.
