I'm writing a book on cooking in Japan, and I'm looking for original recipes to add to it. Recipes should be made with ingredients found at any Japanese supermarket and/or international food market or easily obtained from home countries. Ingredients from non-Japanese sources should not be difficult to obtain or particularly heavy (for shipping reasons of those wishing to import). As an example, once of my favorite donburi (a rice dish with a topping, such as gyudon or "beef bowl") is chili don, made with canned chili from the international food stores and rice.
If the recipe requires instructions any length, unlike say the chili don which is a heat-and-eat affair, please be sure to be as clear and concise as possible. Do not assume that others will just understand what you are referring to. Write them in a step-by-step procedure please.
If recipes are submitted directly to this post via reply, it will be assumed that the author/poster gives his/her permission to publish. Those whose recipes are used, will receive a free copy of the book upon publication. I will not assume any recipes posted to this community NOT in reply to this post, are consent for publication. Please do not worry, I am not interested in stealing, just rounding out an already great idea.
This is an ebook. It will be published on the Internet via my own site.
