Language issues- deuxieme part

I am now thinking perhaps it is some kind of strange sign of approval or acceptance that shop people (mostly pharmacists) speak english to me almost immediately.

Today I was again at the pharmacy, because I am a clumsy and dangerous person. There were two women ahead of me, one of some kind of British/Australian/New Zealand type, and the other an american. They spoke no french.

The same pharmacist who speaks nothing but english to me seemed to have forgotten all her english with the women. She nearly made them cry trying to find out how to get sinus medicine.

She immediately spoke english to me.

I suppose that this is better than them playing with you isn't it?
