I find myself at a crossroads. I am a Venezuelan and a U.S. citizen. This Sunday there were regional elections in Venezuela in which I was unable to participate and which are strange for many reasons in their outcome. Tomorrow I will vote in the U.S. presidential election.
In spite of being a U.S. citizen from birth, I consider myself an expat because I grew up in Venezuela. So, I have found myself contemplating the possibility of leaving the States if things continue on the path they are now.
Is that terrible?
