my paid account expired. i am torn between wanting to re-up it (icons!) or just kind of shrugging. i hate that i post so infrequently, but between the allure of other platforms and the time constraints of having a bb, i just don't know if i'm ever going to get better. :/
whatever. billy is napping so i'm gonna post some pics of him and then talk about hbo television shows, what up.

i loved season one of game of thrones. dany in particular. ♥ almost everything has been perfect. however, as a hound fangirl, i'm really disappointed how much they minimized his role. i really, really hope to see more of him next year. i imagine we will, since sansa won't have many people to talk with at court. and i know GRRM is writing the episode w/ the battle of the blackwater, which gives me hope that a certain scene will occur, which will need to have some buildup over the season, so. here's hoping. i do think rory mccann has done very well with the little he's been given so far. lena headey i could do without, tbh. everyone else has been fabulous and i was especially impressed by sophie turner in the finale. jason momoa is hotter than everyone, the end.
oh, speaking of being hotter than everyone: alexander skarsgard! true blood is back. why is it so dumb? there was a time when it was actually good. i know there must've been times since, but the last time i remember it being legitimately good was the episode when godric met the sun. anyway, the fairy stuff is embarrassing and i hope we don't see much more of it this season. also, was gary cole supposed to be a replacement for niall, or...? sam's storyline: meh (tho the idea of shifting into another human is chekhov's gun, yes?). tara: meh. arlene and terry: dumb but i love terry. jason: blargh. jess and hoyt: upsetting but interesting. bill as king: i'm undecided. pam: always flawless. laffy and jesus: reserving judgment, but i hate that marnie is so mousy; in the books marnie/hallow was scary and tough and badass. or were the weird flashes of her as someone else when she was putting the whammy on eric her ~true form~?
which brings me to me real complaint: in the books, marnie put the spell on eric because he pissed her off, and he was pretty much blameless in the whole thing. i hate that on the show they had to have eric being scary and violent and presumably about to bite tara. i know alan ball is a hardcore bill fan but jfc, dude, does eric have to be BAAAAAD at every turn? i loved book 4 and i have a feeling that S4 will not play out in a similar fashion, and it makes me sad/annoyed. i predict eric will have amnesia for like 2 episodes, will probably do some unseemly shit to sookie in the meantime, and then will leave her to be eaten by those gross hotshot panthers until bill swoops and in saves her and bill and sookie have tearful reunion sex and i barf. UM I GUESS I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT TRUE BLOOD. :x
