02. i pre-ordered david cook and jason castro's mp3s from itunes last night. i got an email about an hour ago that david's was available, but not jason's, and i was like, "uh okay." so i go to itunes and neither will download; it says they're both still unavailable. and then i go again a few minutes ago, and david's actually is available, altho jason's still isn't, so i grab colton and danny's while i'm there. and then i realize? they're the live versions from the fucking broadcast! i thought they were going to be studio versions. LAME.
03. i rewatched a few of my favorites from idol last night and noticed how absolutely nervous jason castro actually was, especially during the judges' comments. and he mumbles so i missed it at first, but when ryan talked to him after he said "i'm a little scared up here," aw.
04. last AI thing for the moment: i may have mentioned that i'm not fond of michael johns? idk if y'all caught that. but anyway, this is the main reason (altho the judges' and producers' relentless pimping doesn't endear him to me either): he is a song-stealing doucheface!
Film [the band he used to sing for] were flown to LA in March 2001 by Maverick records and played a showcase at the legendary Viper Room, on the Sunset Strip. Maverick immediately offered the band a record deal.
The band returned to Atlanta to negotiate the deal.
1 week later, Michael Lee left the band, saying he didn't wish to pursue a career with the band, and started shopping himself with the help of his new manager, Tim O'Brien using the songs written and recorded by Film. He eventually took the same deal with Maverick as a solo artist.
like, written by the band before he joined. and he later said that those dudes were too old and wouldn't have been signed, and he was, like, doing them a favor by getting their music exposed to a bigger audience. ass. :x
05. i am enjoying teen jeopardy entirely too much. i feel so smart! XD
06. bob morris (of the hush sound) posted a bulletin earlier all "hate is bad" and encouraging tolerance of all religions, because people are protesting the church of scientology and that's just wrong! and i giggled because half of the responses are "omggggg bob ur so rite i ttly luv you!!! people should be free to believe wateva they want!1" and the other half are all "dude, scientology is a cult that preys on the vulnerable and steals all their money. do your research."
