So, it’s been awhile since I blogged anything.  Not that any of us are surprised; without a blog-a-day goal, I haven’t kept up with this at all.  Mostly, I just haven’t had much interesting to say.

Josh & I are waiting at the airport for our flight back to Denver.  We had a great time at GenCon, and it’s always nice to see everyone in person.  Unfortunately, we completely overwestimated how long we needed to get through security and have some lunch, so we’re here waiting for a VERY LONG TIME waiting to board.  Gives me more than a few minutes ( Read more... )

Friday was a fun, busy day.  I had a great time at the Queen of Geeks pageant, even though I did not win the crown this year.  I did win the Miss Congeniality award for audience favorite, which, since it was chosen by the audience, makes me a queen of geeks.  It was a good time, and I promise I will have pictures soon.  The hotel internet is only ( Read more... )

In case things get too crazy Friday, I figure I’ll give you a little bit of nonsense to enjoy.  The gluing of the corset turned out okay, not perfect for up-close inspection, but good enough to look nice.  I was tired of sewing, though, and didn’t get around to making a purse to go with it.  Ah, well, there’s always next time.

I FINSIHED MY COSTUME!!!

This morning, granted, but I did in fact finish it.  The last bit of hand stitching nearly did me in, and my fingertips may never regain feeling, but it’s done and it looks awesome!  I’ll post some pictures sometime this weekend, I’m sure.

I’m finishing up my costume right now… well, not RIGHT now ‘cuz I’m typing up this post right now, but you know…

I put in the grommets on the corset, and now all I have to do is add the decorative trim by hand, then add some last little details and try it all one on last time.  So yay for me!

After work today, I picked up some more thread and a few other little bits.  I came home, and Josh needed some help with some work stuff, so instead of sewing, I helped him with work, then worked on my slides.  My slides are almost done… hooray!

Nothing much to report today.  Josh & I went over to Paul & Kara’s for a bit.  Then we came home, got our grocery list together and did our shopping.  I came home to do some sewing, but ended up running out of thread.  Which occurred after JoAnn closed.  So now I can either go to Walmart to get some thread, or I can wait until tomorrow after work ( Read more... )
