Grace for the Moment-Max Lucado

Genesis 18:14- Is Anything too hard for the Lord? No!

The God of surprises strikes again...God does that for the faithful. Just when the womb gets too old for babies, Sarai gets pregnant. Just when the failure is too great for grace, David is pardoned...The Lesson? Three words. Don't give up...God is watching. For all you know right at this moment...the check may be in the mail...the job contract may be on the desk. Don't quit. For if you do, you may miss the answer to your prayers.

My personal interpretation- I believe when your perception is laced with Faith, it sets you up with vision; keen enough to see the gloriously harsh beauty in the very center of the storm. It is because the rainbow is already there during the storm that it appears to us when the weather has settled in to the grace of peace.

Human beings seem naturally pleased by order. We like rhyming words, harmonious sounds, and balanced pictures. We expect a story to have a beginning, middle, and end. Perhaps chaos offends our eyes, ears, minds, and spirits because order is natural in the universe. FRom our solar system to our planet to our bodies, nature behaves methodically and consistently. Years, seasons, and days are regular and cyclical. The laws of math and physics are uniform and systematic. When we mimic nature in all areas of our lives-acheiving consistency, balance, regularity, and harmony- we are happier and more peaceful. We can create this order for ourselves and others in our environment and daily schedules. Order is not confining; it frees us from the stress and strain of chaos. "I arrange my environment and my life in an orderly way".
