I destroyed my Ouija board
So I destroyed my Ouija board. This is a big deal, kids. I've had that board since 7th grade. It feels so weird. I do plan on buying another at Target (I know, so unromantic, but whatever). Anyways, the story.
Liz and I were bored, so we got the board (haha), sat on the floor, and started playing. It started out doing what it's been doing since October, going back and forth between a few letters, but then we actually got something. A man who died at the age 23 in 1956 in a car crash (we decided to call him Al for short). He seemed very coherent, unlike my nun-girl back in July, so we asked him about whatever was doing this to my board. He told me that the only way to get rid of the whatever was to get a new board. He told us that my board got "possessed" 10 months ago, back when we Ouijaed outside on a full moon in October, so we'll be doing no more of that. He said that I (he spelled out my name, Jennifer) called this entity, but it was really because of the time and place in which we Ouijaed, not so much what I did. Then we asked if there was anything else he wanted to tell us. He told us "get rid of this board." Anything else? "Yes...a man is coming," then the pointer started going back and forth between A and M, so Al either meant the man who was coming was this entity, which Liz and I have monikered as Amam, or Amam just broke into the conversation, which he was doing from time to time (so we had to keep calling Al back to us, which is why we nicknamed him Al). At this point, Liz got nervous, and we said goodbye. But then we decided to bring Al back, and we asked him if I should break the board, and he said yes.
Hence, I destroyed my Ouija.
Like I said, this is a big deal right now. This was one of the best (best meaning most coherent, fastest, most flowing conversation I can remember having) I've had. I like it when it goes really fast, because then I lose track of the letters, and when it's done I'll ask the person what it read, and it's something very poignant and pertinent; today was such a circumstance. I don't necessarily "believe" in the board, but when it works like that, it's hard to deny that at least SOMETHING'S going on. I really wish we had had a video camera going for it.
Well, that's the big news. I took some pictures, and I'll be sure to upload them, once my computer is connected to the interweb.
