as everyone in the creative writing dept. probably already knows:
it feels like almost-autumn, the air is getting cooler and sharper, it's starting to smell like leaves. my favorite time in denver and i'm going to miss it. of course in vermont it will be so much more beautiful than it is here but it won't be denver, it won't be my city, i won't get to walk down columbine on halloween afternoon and watch trashbag ghosts in the sunlight and wind. i won't get to drive out to buffalo exchange, 13th and grant, still my favorite intersection in the fall, still what i think of when i think of autumn, and freshman year, and home.
