I got an elaborate camera as a graduation present, to show me how proud I am of myself for finishing school. I haven't actually graduated yet -- that'll be in May if I finish five papers -- but I figured I should get the camera now while I'm in light-filled LA.

I took it into the hills near my home to try it out. It was smoggy (what are the odds?) and I had yet to read the novella-length instruction manual, but here are a few images from the maiden voyage:
