human lips redux
I'm back on livejournal to lob another grenade in the fight from 3 years ago over whether humans are the only animals with lips (http://existenceproof.livejournal.com/49099.html).
My position, as you no doubt recall, was that only humans have lips. Adri (and Gaea?) disagreed.
According to Question 3 of the New York Times' weird body quiz, "Only humans have a distinct border around their lips. . . . The outline of your lips, called the vermillion border, marks the transition from your skin to the pinkish-red part of your lips. It is unique to humans."
