so, this morning I felt a little chill in the air when I walked outside.
that made me really excited, because autumn is most definitely the best time of year.
it is a time for change, for new ideas, old traditions, holidays, spices, sweaters, hot chocolate, and snuggling into couches to watch movies.
did I just wax poetic about fall? ...yes.
so, let's see if I am getting in the spirit of fall already.
new ideas in Sarah's life: I am single for the first time in a long time. we put out the first issue of the Indian Insider, which went smashingly except for one hitch that was fixed in a speedy and graceful fashion by the wonderful staff. we had our first meeting of the Madison Central Young Democrats, which went well also. I have sent in applications to Elon, Centre, and DePauw. I interview with DePauw on Thursday. I have started my applications to William and Mary, Denison, Vandy, and Davidson. I am too scared to start Cornell.
old traditions in Sarah's life: football season is always so much fun...this year it is even better because we are able to dominate the senior-only-front-row! my APs are super fun, and I am enjoying the challenge they present. soccer games are fun as well. my night class is interesting, and yesterday we got to hear a really interesting speaker about constitutional law and the John Roberts' hearings. I am pretty sure I want to minor in Classics.
I am so very, very excited about homecoming and all the festivities. I am riding with Sean in the parade, which should be pretty entertaining. a part of me wants a really classy, nice old car to ride in...the other part of me wants to do something eccentric like ride a bicycle built for two in protest of high gas prices. I think I'll stick with the classy car idea, though.
I need some plaid items to add to my wardrobe. I also need a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes that I saw that made me weak. I also need to bake [cakes, pies, tortes, muffins], because I think baking is one of the most relaxing and rewarding activities one can do.
This morning as I was driving to school, I wanted nothing more than to be on an airplane flying to San Fran or New York to spend the rest of the week eating at bistros and going to art museums and going out at night to operas or jazz clubs. This morning I was longing for a Carrie-Bradshaw-ish existence. This afternoon...I still felt that way, except I wanted to be an international, globe-trotting journalist. I must remember these feelings as I decide my profession.
I can't wait until our venture back to Montgomery County on Friday!:)
Who has third row tickets to Bright Eyes on November 15th? oh yeah, that's me.
Do you know who rules? my friends...they rule a lot. they are really amazing and beautiful.<3
XOXO-
