hello my little pretties.
I only updated once in the month of August, and that makes me feel bad. i'm sorry.
This school year has been lovely so far, and I am really enjoying being a senior and all the fun/exciting/neat things that come with having survived 12 years of schooling. I am looking forward to college though and all the new experiences to come with that...I am up to my eyeballs in applications, scholarship forms, and financial aid stuff. it's pretty much fun though. <3
The first home football game is tomorrow, and I am excited about rocking the 'S' of 'Indians' with pride and cheering for the fabulous football team with all my gorgeous friends. I can't wait until it cools down more - I love autumn and when the leaves change and things get cold and you can drink hot chocolate and eat caramel apples.
Does anyone want to make caramel apples with me? yes? okay awesome.
Newspaper is going swimmingly, I have had to deal a lot with the Richmond Register and negotiating new prices for potentially printing the paper there/getting more circulation into the community, etc. and that has been a really new experience for me in human relations and entrepreneurship. I've learned a lot. The first issue comes out on September 9th - everyone mark your calenders. it's going to be hot.
I love my full-day of AP classes, they are all the perfect mix of rewarding and challenging. Even the 7:00 tests on Fridays really arent too horrible. My Eastern night classes are also fun, and it is nice to have those to shake things up a little bit.
Since my last installment, I got my haircut. I love it. It is short(ish) and easier to deal with. I don't look so blah, I don't think. It kind of reminds me of Ally Sheedy from The Breakfast Club though on bad days, which can't be a good thing. she was kind of shady.
This weekend I try out for the Rose Barn Theatre production of Sleepy Hollow - I am so nervous! Next weekend is the Starlight Mile run, the next weekend I go to Davidson and Elon to tour and interview, the next weekend I drive to New Albany, Indiana to take the ACT [because I am crazy like that], and that whole next week is Homecoming 2005: float building, parades, face paint - yay. September usually is kind of a dull month but this looks like quite a bit of fun.
I have decided that I am going to start making mixes [mixed CDs] for people of songs that remind me of them or that I think they would enjoy. It will be complete with personal liner notes with an explanation of why each some appears on the compilation. would you like one?
my Aescylus art project is calling my name. sigh.
[[if you'll be my bodyguard, i can be your long lost pal...<3]]
XOXO-
