I spent a good chunk of today tracking down locally owned grocers in New Orleans (not Metairie, however if anyone is interested I know of quite a few there as well), particularly in the Uptown/Garden District area. a few days ago while I was driving over near canal st and city park avenue I decided to drive around through lakeview and saw on the side of city park that faces delgado over by Tad Gormley (sp?) stadium all these tents and signs saying "Exchange City".
