It's that time of year again.
(I know it's a bit too early but) this has got to be my favorite Christmas song.
Hey, why is George Michael hitting on a girl there? Ah, this was before his enlightenment... (No, I actually love him. XD Went to his concert in Tokyo Dome.)

My hubby, normally a total procrastinator, becomes quite busy with purchasing Christmas presents for everybody, especially his sons.
He's the middle one of three brothers, and these boys apparently received enough gifts to swim in them growing up.
That's really unheard of in Japan.
In Japan, we normally exchange only one gift, although usually an expensive gift. We think that's a simpler, more practical, and more elegant way to give a gift. Also, we normally don't open the gift we received in front of the giver. That's kind of impolite here in the US, but in Japan, unless the giver asks the recipient to open it right there, the gift is just taken home unopened, probably to avoid the potential embarrassment of the recipient not liking the gift (and having to 'act' happy). We Japanese loooove these ambiguous unspoken mental exchanges... XD
I feel like so many gifts being showered on little boys and girls like we do in the US on Christmas Day is a bit much. It keeps kids from really valuing and appreciating what they have. Instead it teaches them a sense of entitlement. But oh well, it's only once a year, right? Although my hubby loves to buy toys for the boys all year around... And No.1's birthday is soon after Christmas... =_=;;
Anyhoo, I'm in trouble!
Apparently my hubby's already ordered a gift for me and is hiding from me until Christmas.
OOOOOOPS.
What am I gonna give him!?!? Aaahhhhhhh
I mean... He has more clothes than I do, he has no time to play video games, he's got all kinds of electronic gadgets to keep him happy, he loves Tar Heels (North Carolina basket ball team) but is not the type to appreciate Tar Heels goods, he doesn't wear cologne or jewelry (so G's no help there), he doesn't drink any liquor or coffee, um.................... What does he want!? *pulls hair*
I guess I'll go check out Amazon.
I'm in trouble~~~~~~~ 9_9;
Also, I finally set up an account with HMV. I think I need to go ahead and order a copy of Gactionary.
Is this the cheapest place you can get it? It was about ¥3000 including shipping and handling.
This should be such a fun read!
(See how easily I can give myself a lovely gift or two?)
