have you ever hugged someone & felt like they were the missing piece to your puzzle? it's as if their body fits perfectly with yours. yeah, that happened to me this weekend & it kind of freaked me out - in both a good & bad way.

it was definitely interesting to see the way he was in his own element. his excitement & happiness filled my heart with warmth. sounds lame, but it's an incredible site to see someone interacting in a world they absolutely love & are passionate about. it's just crazy that our worlds are literally complete opposites: he's a country boy & i'm a city girl; he's a conservative & i'm a liberal; he loves football & i love basketball; everyone in his family drives a truck & everyone in my family drives a honda; he eats bbq & i eat sushi; he can two-step & i can salsa/merengue; he enjoyes hunting & i enjoy petting zoos (hah).

these opposites are what get me though. i like learning new things & i like teaching him. i've known him for over a year & it wasn't until recently that i really started to see him in a different light.

we've got an understanding. we'll see where life takes us in the next couple of months. neither of us want something serious right now, but maybe one day it'll happen. although, i am the first girl he's taken home to meet his grandma.. & that's pretty major because him & his grandma are super close. so maybe this is a little more serious than either of us are are willing to admit. i'm just glad we're both on the same page.

all in all, i'm super excited about our ski trip in 2+ weeks. i'll take advantage of spending time with him & soak up every single hug. and after the trip, we'll continue to take baby steps...
