Whoa nelly. At least taking Monday off and having Tuesday be busy-busy-busy means - hey! Tomorrow's Wednesday and midway through the week and it's gone so fast! Hooray!
Plus, three day week next week. Ahh.
The weekend visiting the family in Ohio was very nice. I think we're all catching the morbidity, though - every time we leave Grandma, we think, "Was that it?" It's logical to think. She's 98. One never knows, at that age. Every extra day is a blessing, but there's some part of my mind that's like, "Was this visit nice enough? Special enough? If it turns out to have been the last one?" I didn't do that with my other grandmother because (a) I saw her weekly, so it seemed less...fraught, and (b) she was pretty much detached from reality by the end anyway. Grandma is still pretty sharp, if pretty hard of hearing, at 98.
Got home yesterday around 2:30, did laundry. I am pleased to report no more peeing from Oz, and the office people were very good about the laundry situation. Between Nature's Miracle and Borax, there's nary a whiff of cat pee around the sheets anymore. Hooray! Some days, it's the small victories, you know? Desmond seems to get EXTRA SUPER HYPER when I get home, which is sweet for a while and then kind of exhausting. He'll go back to normal, still hyper but not quite as much so, shortly I'm sure.
I cannot believe Thanksgiving is next week. What the hell is happening?
Lately I have been feeling a strong desire to have a bonfire, which seems simple enough, but in the suburbs...not really.
