Wish for others what you wish for yourself
I feel so lucky that everything is falling into place for me. A few months ago I went to training session run by the Multifaith Resource Team. During the program we discussed "The Golden Rule" aka "Do unto others what you would have done to you," and how many of the world's religions hold this belief in some form or another. In Islam, the equivalent is "Wish for others what you wish for yourself." That really stuck with me, and it comes to mind now at a time where I'm really feeling content with the direction I'm heading in. I wish that everyone who I know and love could feel this way...
All I can think right now is that by this time tomorrow, I'll be back in loveable Guelph! I am so ridiculously excited for this semester to start, I may not be able to sleep tonight.
Packing sucks. Especially because I know this is only the beginning of much packing and unpacking to come. But it'll be worth it.
