My New Years resolutions have never really been something I've been able to keep. I'm shocked anyone does really unless they make ones like "I will be drunk 265 of 365 days this year". Then, especially if your name is JONNY LEE MILLER, it's not such a hard feat to accomplish. All right, if your name is Elijah Wood it isn't so tough either, but the fact remains that it's stuff like that that gets kept. Mine for the past year were made drunkenly while imagining myself standing a on a tall mountain yodeling various goals I thought I might be able to accomplish. For example, I remember distinctly bringing out my bullet holed cardboard cutout of Natalie Portman and dumping it off the tall mountain and declaring that I would make this a reality by years end. I think I've failed :(. I also promised that I would have my own boyband featuring other actors JUST LIKE ME. Also an unrealized goal. I don't know how to feel about any of it. This year i'm keeping things simple. Get the record company up and running and finally divorce Sarah Michelle Gellar. I don't ask for much BUT SIGN THE DAMN PAPERS. I HAVE SENT THEM OVER WITH MANY HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS.

I'd also like to have a #1 movie but I don't have much to say about that do I? Unless we make Lord of the Rings 4...which is sort of impossible.

I talked to someone earlier today who told me they didn't understand why people celebrated New Years. Wooo 365 days have passed let's party? My response was that I look for any excuse to get together with friends I don't always see and consume large amounts of alcohol. Mostly so they can tell me stories for days after about the ass I made of myself. It's more than that though. It's about celebrating that you've survived another year and are making it into the next relatively healthy and happy. It's about reflecting on things you should and should not have done and how you can maybe fix them in the months ahead. I really like New Years for all of those reasons most times. If you're alone though it's sort of like a time to look around and see everyone around you settling down and your inability to do the same. I guess that's sort of a plan as well.

Next year is looking crazy busy but that's fine with me. I'm sure you've all seen the Happy Feet preview and yes IT IS THAT CUTE. Also please note Nicole Kidman does a voice, YES THAT'S RIGHT SATINE DOES A VOICE. I'm uber excited. Who isn't though?

Keep it cool, I have a music posts in the works that will knock your slippers off.
