SO MAD.
We washed Jack's diapers last night and did not have a chance to fold them or put them away. Instead, I threw them on the couch. I came home today and headed to the couch to start stuffing inserts and folding prefolds when I notice that some of them are wet and wow, do they stink! I realize, OMG, one of the cats pissed on Jack's diapers. Fuming, I started tossing the wet diapers to the side and smelling the others to see if they were all affected. As I put more and more diapers to the side to rewash, my anger builds and then I notice an additional smell. NO FUCKING WAY, I think, and almost vomit. Oh yes - one of the bastards took a shit on the diapers, as well. Revolting!
The whole load just went into the washer with detergent, tea tree oil, and a bunch of baking soda. I am open to any and all ideas about what other things I can throw in there to disinfect and deorderize the diapers. How many cycles would you all recommend? 3???
