using Photoshop CS. This tutorial is translatable only to other PS programs.
I know I used someone's else tutorial as a base for this coloring, but I can't remember whose tutorial it was D': If any of the steps look familiar to you, please let me know!
01 Start with your base.
02 Paste this texture (by ?, original) and set it to multiply 70%.
03 Duplicate your base, bring it to the top, and set it to screen 30%.
04 Make a new Selective Color adjustment layer, and change the opacity to 75%. Input these values:
Reds: -50 0 0 0
Yellows: -30 0 0 25
Neutrals: 20 0 25 -10
05 Make a new layer and fill it with #282828. Set it to exlcusion 80%.
06 Paste this texture (by hellodarliing) and set it to screen 100%. I rotated it and erased the parts covering Daisuke's face.
07 Duplicate your base, bring it to the top, and set it to softlight 100%.
08 Duplicate your base again and set it to softlight 15%.
09 Paste this texture (by ?) and set it to multiply 75%.
10 Make a new Hue/Saturation/Lightness adjustment layer, and set master saturation to 30. Change the opacity to 80%.
11 Make a new Selective Color adjustment layer, and change the opacity to 90%. Input these values:
Yellows: 0 0 -20 -30
Neutrals: 50 0 0 -40
12 Make a new Selective Color adjustment layer, and change the opacity to 55%. Input these values:
Reds: -100 0 100 0
Yellows: 0 0 -40 0
Cyans: 100 0 -100 100
Blues: 100 0 100 0
Neutrals: 100 25 -10 -25
13 Make a new Hue/Saturation/Lightness adjustment layer, and set master saturation to 25. Change the opacity to 70%.
14 Make a new Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer, and set brightness to -2 and contrast to 7.
