We'll be turning
into
using Photoshop CS. This tutorial is translatable only to other PS programs.

01 Start with your base. I don't have the two separate blended images, but I can try to tell you what I did. The base was finished in PSP, but I'm sure it'll work fine in PS:

Take the first image and crop it, but don't merge it down (keep it a separate layer). Duplicate it and move the second layer where ever you want. Now, the second layer is on the top, so erase the parts covering the first image. Once done, move the first layer the top, and erase the parts covering the second image. Move the first layer back to the bottom, and set both layers to multiply. Sometimes it makes a "cleaner" blend effect as opposed to both layers on normal.

02 Duplicate your base and set it to softlight 25%.
03 Make a new Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer, and set brightness to -15 and contrast to 15.
04 Make a new Hue/Saturation/Lightness adjustment layer, and set master saturation to 15.
05 Make a new Selective Color adjustment layer, and input these values:
     Greens: 0 0 -100 100
     Cyans: 15 20 -100 10
     Blues: 0 0 -60 0
     Neutrals: -10 0 0 -15
     Blacks: 25 5 0 5
06 Make a new Selective Color adjustment layer, and input these values:
     Cyans: 100 0 0 -25
     Blues: 15 0 35 0
     Neutrals: -20 -10 0 -10
07 Paste this texture (by inquisitory lol) and set it to screen 100%. I rotated it and erased some parts.
08 Duplicate the Selective Color layer from step 5 and bring it to the top. Change the opacity to 50%.
09 Make a new layer and fill it with #330808. Set it to exlcusion 85%.
10 Make a new layer and fill it with #E8E8E8. Set it to color burn 100%.
11 Make a new Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer, and set brightness to 5 and contrast to 15.

I'd love to see what you guys come up with, so please post your results! Hope this tutorial helped :)
