2009 Meme

Dec 31, 2009 00:07

Ok I totally just made this up. Behind the cut 3 Pictures taken each month of 2009.

January

New Years Eve...or day cuz no idea what time this was taken at. We had a party at Ali and Chaz's house. Fun times.

The annual sledding trip. No one got hurt this time which was good and a first.

Closing night party of Sundance. Seriously AMAZING TRIP. Saw some great films, saw Jesse Plemons(still hate myself for not asking for a picture) and met Landon Pigg. All while having a BLAST with my friends.

February

A visit to my bestest friend Lauren.

Toward the end of my 21st Birthday celebration...before I spent forever in the bathroom of this bar.

The Oscars. We are film students that is all I am going to say. Well that and I have totally different views than most of my film friends, which was reinforced while watching.

March

One of Morgan's many parties/get togethers/BBQs.

March was the crazy crazy month that started the many shoots for the webseries from hell. Which I produced most of and was AD on most of the shoots as well. Ugh. I might have hated that class and the finished product but I learned a TON.

And well look at how cute this little boy (Joesph) is. He was my little assistant for a bit while watching his brothers.

April

We traveled to Boise to shoot Ryan's documentary "sub5". I edited the project while also, as pictured, did sound during the actual race. It turned out really really good. I loved doing it and am proud of it.

While in Boise I was able to catch one of my favorite bands The Airborne Toxic Event in a small bar. They were AMAZING. I also ended up at the after party for a while and talked to most of them. Great people.

Not only did I Produce but being the ONLY GIRL on set one shoot they made me act, which is bad, cuz I SUCK. But it was hilarious and I got to slap Luke. And well later they made Dan (who had longish hair) dress up as a girl (we just shoot him from behind) to play Ian's wife. Which well was even more funny.

And a bonus image. I am not sure who took this on my camera, I think Ryan but it turned out sweet. On the drive to Boise for Ryan's shoot.

May

Night of the Tracy's. Last day of the semester. After the ceremony but before the after party. We bought shots for one of our fav professors, Tom. Then proceeded to get really really really really drunk through out the night. It ended for me at 5am after puking and a ride home from another professor. Pretty sure I was still drunk when I went to graduation later that morning.

Ryan and I went to see Taylor Swift. As the picture shows, I freakin loved it. She was awesome.

I along with Ryan and a bunch of friends made a film in 48 hours for the i48 film fest. It made it to the best of (out of over 50+ teams) and won 'Best Use of Boise.' It was called 'Marblez'.

June

Saw Tyler Hilton play in a bar in Boise. He was awwwwesome.

Before we hit the bar's in downtown Bozeman for Morgan's 21st. Which as a sober person was just really funny to observe.

Miles, Katie, Mina and I went on a spur of the moment camping trip in the Mountains of Montana (ok only like a 30min drive away from Bozeman but well its nice being surrounded by mountains.) Mina and Miles got into deep conversations while Katie and I drunkenly giggled at everything. I was also on an amazing roll that night with the "that's what she said" jokes. And we learned that I am horrible at peeing in the woods.

Honorable Mention: I have no pictures because well I looked like crap after getting up after only 3 hours of sleep and being very hungover and staying up for 24+ hours, BUT I watched like 22 of the 24 hours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was amazing.

July

Family trip to Utah to see my brother and his family. Finally got to see my nephew again after like 2 years. We went to the park and fed the ducks. He is freakin adorable. I love him.

Spent an amazing day at the lake with Melissa, some of her family and Jake. So much fun. Made me miss our boat so much.

Went to the Snake River Stampede with my parents, just like we do every year. It was lots of fun. I shall miss going.

August

I was a camp counselor for a week for a camp for adults with disabilities. It's seriously my favorite part of my job back here at home. Heading up to the mountains for a week of a lot of hard work but SO MUCH FUN. I love working with the other counselors, which a lot of them I only see at camp. It's so very worth the week of limited sleep and the stress and the crazyness.

I went to New York City and stayed with one of my friends for a couple days. It was AMAZING. I definitely have to go back again because I did not spend enough time there. I saw a musical on Broadway, walked 50+ blocks in one afternoon, ate a lot of amazing food, ended up in Brooklyn on accident and got to see some of my awesome friends from school!

2 Images here because well I couldn't pick just one. After NYC took a bus up to Montreal to stay with Alicia and her family for a low key but awesome week (filled with drinking and horrible Patrick Dempsey movies). Topped of with a trip to my very first Grand Am race. Now the past year I had grown to love Grand Am racing but after going to my first race I knew I would ALWAYS love it. It's just AMAZING being there and the atmosphere. But my favorite thing about races are the people. I met my favorite team, Dempsey Racing, which has my two favorite drivers, Patrick Dempsey and Joe Foster along with a whole crew of fantastic people. It's an experience I shall never forget.

September

Back to good ol' gorgeous Bozeman Montana.

This also meant back to the grind of school. The start of my LAST YEAR.

But I did remember to make time for fun and drove down to the Grand Am race in Utah. It might have been better than Montreal (even without Patrick) I got to spend most of my time hanging out and observing the crew. I got to know them and the way everything in the sport works a lot better and it just made me love it more. The race might have ended on a bad note for DR but it was still an amazing weekend where I also met some new friends. (I got to see Lauren that weekend so that was a plus.)

October

Worked my 4th year at HATCHFest. This year I was in charge of the Groundbreakers. Which was an amazing group of talented filmmakers(pictured with me) whom I learned a lot from by just talking to them. I also met some fantastic people in the industry who were so willing to share their knowledge. HATCH is going to be one of the biggest things I miss about moving to LA, it just such a awesome group of people who have a wonderful vision. Hopefully I can come back some day as a mentor.

I made the trip down to Boise to see my all time favorite band, Snow Patrol and just like last time it was so worth the drive. The concert was amazing, I swear they are better live then on their albums. And they also happened to end up in the same bar as I had wondered into after the concert to go pee and talk with some friends so I got to hang out with them for a good hour or more. That just help solidify their place as my favorite band, such awesome guys. This is me and the lead singer Gary Lightbody.

Halloween was a crazy but fun night. Went to a party then we went to another party and then went downtown then went to ihop. Bozeman on Holloween is awesome, so many people out and about the bars are PACKED. Saw a lot of crazy stuff.

November

First major snowfall means sledding at like 10pm with Ian, Mina, Ryan and Alyse.. It was aaaaamazing. Perfect snow, and a lot of it like 30+ inches. Though you would think after growing up in Idaho and living in Montana for the past 3 1/2 years I would have snow pants.

Also worked on a couple of senior films. This is on the shoot for 'Shreds of Humanity' where I was the AD(I am in the middle there blue coat). Really fun shoot to work on.

My first football game since beginning of Sophomore year, and my last. The biggest game of the year. Montana State Bobcats vs. University of Montana Grizzlies. It was fun tailgating before the big game (pictured here with Adam, Trevor, Shar, Katie and Morgan). We lost and it was freezing but still worth going to.

December

Ah the end of the semester. Which means finals, though I had none, and papers, which I had a HUGE one. And well Christmas. This is me decorating the tree in the VCB before my last TV Production lab.

The best part of December is the annual sweater party. This year it was packed and crazy. Lots of drinking(and passing around of the Obama/Dempsey bottle of fun) and lots of fun. And well this year I had a SWEET Rudolf sweater which I complimented with a nice head band. This is me and the 2 Grad Mikes.

Ending the year back in Boise. This is me mixing the dough for sugar cookies at Mike and Dani's house where we all got together and made a bunch of different cookies. It's always great to get together with my best friends and catch up.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

2010 brings lots of new things especially:
-Graduating college.
-Moving to LA
-And who knows what else...hopefully a job and making it to a Grand Am race are in the new year.
