OK, now I'm *really* confused
After leaving DMV today, I did some miscellaneous shopping and errands and just got home, stopping by my mailbox on the way (I may have mentioned before, all the mailboxes for the block are in one central stand in the middle of the block). Among the various pieces of mail (including my Netflix Blu-ray of Something Something Something Dark Side -- review pending, as soon as I get a chance to watch it) was... an envelope from the DMV! Holy shit, it's a license!
The envelope is pre-printed as pre-sorted, postage paid, so there is no postmark and I can't tell which iteration of license this is. This is baffling -- on all three of the previous attempts to get a license I have been told by a DMV agent on the phone that the license was returned, and given a date. Practically speaking I think what this means is I'll get to choose which photo I like better when the second one arrives next week or so :-)
