For me to.......

I finally was able to sell my old CD deck from the Crashmobile. Where Kirsten and Tim left me high and dry, my man John was able to pull through. He of course "knew a guy" intrested in one, who never asked if it was hot, and had it sold in a matter of days. The funny thing is, two days after John's guy bought it, the deck was stolen out of his car. He left his car doors open in Capeheart, he deserves to be robbed. And the thing is, this is the third time he has been robbed by leaving his car doors open in his drive way in Capeheart. After Heather left my doors open once, you can bet that I tripple checked them every time from then on. That way, the theif has to break my window to steal from me and I have a chance to hear them and beat their ass (ain't that right, Q). Unfortunatlly, when you are a junky pill-head, these things slip your mind. These are the types of people that John knows. I still got paid, though.

I've had my mp3 player for about a month now, and never want to look back. I'm curious to see where the music industry goes from here. With legal ways to create mp3s and wmas so abundant, and the discs to burn them to disposably cheap, traditional cds are inconvenient. Do I want to carry around my entire primus collection in my car to be stolen, or just one cd that costs me pennies and is backed up on my computer? You can fit ten to fifteen "regular" cds on one mp3 disc. At $15 to $20 apice, that is at a minimum of $150 worth of music on one disc. So why would I want to buy a cd at bull moose if I am just going to convert it to when I get home? For the album art? Some groups are putting dvds with their cds, but the ones I have seen aren't really worth watching twice. Maybe they will move to mp3/dvd combo discs next, though I don't know if that type of thing is possible. (Dylan?)

I saw Alien v Predator today. It was laughably bad. Freddy v Jason was good because it stayed true to the characters historys and actions. AvP took what it wanted from each mythology and piled it all together in one big pg13 mess. They didn't really show any "chest bursting", just the faces of people who we have to assume are going through a process depicted in other, better movies. Crap.

I also saw The Best of Triumph today. That is the funniest shit that I have seen in a long time. And to put it all together on one disc is just too much. Everyone needs to go to rent that ASAP. It is worth it for the canada part alone.
